Through fellowship advising that is carried out in coordination with faculty and faculty review committees at Tulane, the Honors Program strives to promote the full potential of fellowship candidates through the application process and seeks ways to foster students’ intellectual and personal development. During the application and campus review process, we encourage the intellectual autonomy and support the individual academic passion of each student. Our priorities are to promote student success, uphold the integrity of Tulane University, and emphasize the value of the process of applying for fellowships. Finally, we promote scholarship and fellowship opportunities broadly, with adherence to the foundations’ stated criteria, so more students are made aware of the opportunities and can benefit from the campus review process. This process includes responding to short answers and questions on applications, drafting multiple versions of essays, and completing mock interviews.
The Honors Program encourages students and alumni to seek information about scholarships and fellowships as they pursue their academic careers, think about studying abroad, and take advantage of research and scholarly opportunities.
